The Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT)

The Hunar Se Rozgar Tak (HSRT) programme has gained immense significance for improving the overall skill quotient of the society and providing skill based jobs for our youth in hotel and food service industry.

The strategy has been expanded to encompass numerous subsectors of the hotel industry like providing job opportunities in smaller hotels, restaurants, kiosks, Home stays, Bed and Breakfast accommodations, fast food joints, welfare catering and so on.

The Hunar Se Rozgar initiative was implemented by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India through the Central Institutes of Hotel Management present across the country.

The Government of India, Ministry  of Tourism has launched a Training Programme, christened  “Hunar Se Rozgar Tak” to create employable skill in the interested youth who are in the age group of 18 years and above and who bear the minimum qualification for the respective trade.

The Programme is conducted by the Institutes of Hotel Management sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism.

The programme offers short but quality training courses covering:

Tamil Nadu Urban Livelihoods Mission (TNULM) is a mission that intends to reduce poverty and vulnerability of the urban poor households by building strong community-based organizations and enabling the differently abled person to access gainful self-employment and skilled wage employment opportunities.

Objectives:

The main objectives are to form communities that will work for our society's poor, vulnerable, and differently-abled sections and to identify potentials in the urban poor and guide them to enhance their skills and capacities.

To provide, an intangible asset to the urban youth from BPL families in the form of skills.

To increase the income of urban poor through structured, market-oriented certified courses that can provide salaried employment and / or self-employment opportunities which will eventually lead to better living standards and alleviation of urban poverty on a sustainable basis

Ensure inclusive growth with increased contribution of skilled urban poor to the National Economy.

TNSDC

TNSDC is the State's Nodal Agency for skill development related activities, and it aims to bring together the efforts of a variety of stakeholders, including businesses, trade associations, training partners, sector skill councils, and assessment agencies, as well as other State and federal government agencies.

The main objective of the Skill India programme is to provide adequate training in market-relevant skills to over 40 crore youth by 2022. It also aims to create opportunities for the development of talent within the country and improve the overall scope and space for underdeveloped sectors.

PMKVY

PMKVY

Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) was launched in 2015 to encourage and promote skill development in the country by providing free short-duration skill training and incentivizing this by providing monetary rewards to youth for skill certification.

DDUGKY

DDUGKY

It is a market-led, placement-linked skill development program for providing wage employment to rural poor youth. Skilling program for rural youth has now been refocused and re-prioritized to build the capacity of rural poor youth to address the needs of domestic and global skill requirements.

TAHDCO

Tamil Nadu Adi Dravidar Housing and Development Corporation Limited (TAHDCO) was incorporated in 1974 under the Companies Act 1956. The Government of Tamil Nadu and the Government of India contribute to the Share Capital of the Corporation.
Though the Corporation was initially started as a Construction Company in 1974, the activities of the Corporation were extended to enable it to undertake a wide spectrum of economic development schemes for income generation and skill development training for Scheduled caste and Scheduled Tribes in the State.

Main Activities of the Corporation

To implement economic development schemes for the Welfare of Scheduled Caste / ST in the State.

To provide skill development training to youth belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for job/self-employment.

To undertake construction activities entrusted by the Government.

What is a Disaster?

Disaster, defined as any undesirable occurrence by nature or humans, strikes quickly with or without warning and causes heavy damage, loss of lives and livestock, properties, health and services, ecological, economic, environmental, access, changes and disruptions in the society, we may call as a disaster.
